Firstly I eventually tried Durian. It is a Thai fruit. http://www.avclub.com/articles/durian-fruit,38702/

I was told before we moved here that one either loves it or hates it. So now that it has come into season, I finally rounded up enough courage to try it. This was my reaction:
Eventually I convinced Joshua to try some. This was his reaction:
The rest of my family was to chicken to try... Shame on you guys!
Would I try it again...NO!
So the second first for me was to ride on a taxi motorbike.

Without the kids, of coarse! It was so much quicker than having to sit and wait in traffic. I tried not to look straight ahead at the oncoming traffic...hehehe... I would do it again, for sure!
And the third first was getting caught in a Bangkok thunder storm down pour.
One minute it started to dribble, and the next it was just pouring down in buckets! I was soaked in a couple of minutes. When I eventually reached the store I was dripping wet. Yes, I looked like a wet chicken...hehehe... Would I try this again...No...but you never know when the heavens are going to open up and not be prepared for it...so will it happen again? Probably...
So this is how we are learning about our city... Not always the best of fun while it is happening, but we can laugh about it after...and we learned something new...
