Suan Lum Night Bazaar

So, I really feel like I have to share my outing of last night with you.

Jair's ex-college from ADRA Mozambique, Ely Robles, is visiting here with her friend, Maria.

So my wonderful husband offered to stay at home with the kids last night, so the three of us could go to shopping at the Suan Lum Night Bazaar.

So, by the time we left home, the traffic was to busy, so we took the skytrain. First a taxi to the BTS, then the sky train, and then get a connection on the subway. Now, for a 'farm girl' from Maputo to brave the public transport was quite scary. But it was so easy. And so fast.

So, the three of us started our shopping trip. What a wonderful market. It is more geared up for the tourist. So it is spacious, clean and really pleasant. Prices are a bit more, but if you know what the price should be, you can haggle it down. And haggling is an absolute must.

We found some really pretty things. The crafts they sell are really beautiful.

So, at 10pm we where a bit hungry. So we set of to go eat. At 10pm!

At 11pm Ely and Maria decided to have a foot massage. I wanted to make use of the kid-free time i had, so I set off to explore a bit more. At 12pm we set off home...12pm people! This was such a treat for me.

Thank you babes! You are the best!

And here I thought you were tired of shopping! hehe! :o)

Robin left this morning with Jesse while I was still sleeping - they went to the dump and then to the shops. So, guess who has had the whole morning to herself ????? Meeeeeeeee... ! Yeah baby!

As much as we love our chillens, it's sometimes the best thing on the planet just to be ME and not MOM hey? :o)

Arg, heaven! Yes, I know exactly what you mean. We love them to bits, but man, sometimes we just need a bit of time for ourselves.
